Let's Play gets a boost
Let’s Play is a community partnership led by Dr Pepper Snapple Group to get kids and families active nationwide. The current Let’s Play initiative is a $15 million commitment to KaBOOM!, a national non-profit organization that will build or fix up 2,000 playgrounds by the end of 2013, benefiting an estimated five million children.
This photo is from a build at Edison Park Elementary in Miami, FL, on Nov. 18, 2011. Volunteers from DPSG, its agencies including Red Urban, and also the Edison Park community built a brand new playground and outdoor classroom over 8 hours—a few of which were in the pouring rain!
The project was a great success, and Red Urban gained valuable insight into the core mission of one of its most important clients.
